Without a doubt, we’ve been having an awesome time in Europe during field visits, tours, and local activities. However, we also remember why we’re here in the first place and have been working on a project throughout these past two weeks. The Know Europe program provides an opportunity for students to work on a real-life situation outside of the classroom by investigating the feasibility of importing a product into the European Union.
Students are asked to run a team project for an American company in the wine, beer, or spirits industry and produce a complete business plan that will be submitted to a panel of experts and academics for final evaluation. The focus is on all the strategic marketing aspects involved in making the right decisions when embarking on a business venture with or within EU countries.
In each country, we visit and explore the appropriate markets, as well as observe and analyze the relevant European consumer behavior. Who said research had to be boring? 🙂
